Once, a lion was sleeping peacefully outside his cave. Suddenly, a fly came buzzing and disturbed him. The lion got very angry and growled. The fly laughed and said, “I am not scared of you. You may be the king but I am stronger than you. If you doubt my strength, let us fight and see who wins!” The lion agreed and got ready for the fight. Suddenly, the fly stung the lion on the nostrils. The lion, trying to crush him, lashed out at the fly with his claws. But he ended up hurting himself. The lion accepted defeat. The fly was very happy. He flew around in happiness. But he did not see a cobweb and got tangled in it. A spider quickly ate the fly. It was a sheer irony that the fly, who had defeated a lion, got eaten by an insect smaller than he.
