Once, a ship got wrecked in a storm. Only two friends survived and swam to an island. They decided to pray to God for help. However, to find out whose prayers were more powerful, they divided the island and stayed on the opposite sides. The first thing that they prayed for was food. Soon, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land. The other man had no tree. Next, the first man prayed for a ship. Soon, he found a ship on his side of the island. Happily, he boarded the ship. He decided not to take his friend with him. Suddenly, a voice from the heavens called out, “Why are you leaving your friend?” The man answered, “All his prayers were unanswered, so he does not deserve this.” The voice rebuked him saying, “No! He had only one prayer. He prayed that all your prayers be answered!” The first man was stunned.
Moral: Value your friends.
