One day, a man was tilling his patch of land when a hunter came riding up. He asked the man, “Did you see a boar run past?” The man thought for a while and replied, “Yes!” Then he went on doing his work. The hunter got impatient and asked, “Which way did it go?” The man pointed to the north direction with his forefinger. The hunter rode away without a word of thanks. But after a while, he was back. He looked tired and angry. He said, “I found no sign of the boar. Are you sure it went that way?” The man replied, “I am certain it went that way two years ago.” The man was too stunned to hear this reply and walked off in disgust.
