Once, there were two horses, one was of a king and another horse was of a peasant. The king’s horse had a furry mane and was of the finest breed. He really looked very magnificent. The peasant’s horse, on the other hand, was not a well-bred horse and had to stay in a dirty horse. The king’s horse always boasted that he was superior than the peasant’s horse. One day, the king’s horse challenged the peasant’s horse to a race and it was agreed that the one who tired out first would lose the race. The enthusiastic king’s horse began galloping immediately, while the peasant’s horse only walked. After sometime, however, he began gasping for breath and slowed down his pace. In a while, his legs ached and he limped all the way.
Meanwhile, the peasant’s horse had just increased his speed. He moved on steadily and overtook the king’s horse soon. “It seems you are already tired,” the peasant’s horse jeered at the king’s horse, who by now was dragging himself to remain in the race. He realised that he was going to lose the race and was very ashamed. He hung his head in shame and walked on quietly, promising never to brag again.
