The Sad Cyclop

Deep down in the Aegean Sea lived a sad little cyclop called Zy. He had seen many a living creature but none were single-eyed like him. So, he shut himself in his dark underwater home and sat there, feeling sorry for himself. Before long, he became very bad-tempered and snappy. One day, a sea urchin named Blueye wandered into Zy’s house. “Hello! Where am I?” called out a scared little Blueye. Zy was startled because Blueye was a mere foot away from him. “You are in my home! Did you not see the sign on the door? Are you blind?” snapped Zy getting angrier by the minute. “Sorry!” said Blueye, “I have no eyes but I can sense light. Why is there no light here?” Zy felt ashamed of himself. He realised that he was lucky to have at least one eye. From that day on, he never shut himself in the darkness.
