“You should have given me some other name,” said Lionel, the mouse. “You are the Mouse Prince,” said his mother. “Yes, but I’m a mouse, not a lion!” argued Lionel. It was no use arguing with his mother. ‘I wish someone would understand!’ thought Lionel. Princess Lucy, a pretty white mouse who was engaged to marry Lionel, came to spend that weekend with them. “Why are you looking miserable?” she asked him and Lionel explained. “Let’s find a way to solve this problem. Suppose I start calling you by some other name,” suggested Lucy. “How will that help?” asked Lionel. “Everyone will think I’m calling you something special and he will get used to it after a while,” she said. “Hey! That’s a great idea!” agreed Lionel. After much thought, they decided to call him ‘Ozzy’. “It’s short for Oswald,” explained Lucy. And Oswald became a much happier mouse after that conversation!
