Once, an evil dwarf caught Jasmine, the fairy queen. He kept her a prisoner near a village where nobody smiled. It was strange to see them do their work but never smile or laugh. A brave village boy named Sandy freed her. Jasmine asked him, “Why doesn’t anyone in this village smile?” Sandy told her, “Many years back, on a hot summer evening, most of the villagers were sitting next to a river. Just then, they saw a dwarf, who was trying to harness a wild horse. He was so small that every time he climbed the horse he would fall down. The villagers laughed at the dwarf. The dwarf was furious and with his magic, he stole all their smiles and cursed them to be sad.” Jasmine said, “Sandy, your kindness has won the happiness of all the villagers, I give you back your smiles; but remember, never laugh at anyone again. It’s rude.”
