One day, Mr. Mulder gave his students a class project. Little Tom was very excited to plant the seed. He looked after it with great care for many days. When the first shoot appeared, Tom impatiently asked Mr. Mulder, “Can I eat the seeds now?” Mr. Mulder said, “You still have to wait for some time before you can collect many seeds from just one fruit.” Tom was disappointed, but he kept looking after his plant diligently. However, he gradually became more impatient. He kept asking Mr. Mulder if he could pick the fruit. Despite Mr. Mulder’s advice, he picked the plant as soon as he saw the mulberry’s first fruits. Sadly, the fruits were not ripe. Tom was upset. His efforts were wasted due to his impatience, while his classmates’ mulberries grew. Tom learnt to be more patient in the future.
