The Selfish Man

Once upon a time, a selfish man lost thirty gold coins. One of his friends, a kind man, was coming to meet him. He found thirty gold coins on his way. When the kind man arrived at the selfish man’s house, the selfish man told him about his gold coins. The kind man immediately gave him all the coins which he found on his way. After counting the gold coins, the man claimed that ten of them were missing. He said, “I will go to the court.” The judge asked the kind man, “How many gold coins did you find?” He replied, “Thirty gold coins.” The judge then asked the selfish man, “How many gold coins did you lose?” The selfish man answered forty gold coins. The judge then told the selfish man that the gold coins did not belong to him because the kind man had found only thirty coins and not forty as he claimed to have lost. The selfish man repented his cunningness.
