Jared was opening his birthday gifts. Among them was a queer, blank, blue diary. Jared opened it and wrote on a blank page, “I had a lovely birthday.” That night he opened the diary to write again and was stunned to see a message scrawled in red letters across the page: Wait for the disaster. That night, Jared’s cat got lost. It just could not be found. Next day, Jared opened the diary and saw a sentence written in it: John will hurt himself! That day at school Jared’s friend John fell off the swing and injured his head. Beware! You will fail in your test: it said one day. That day Jared failed his Maths test. Jared was scared. He knew that the diary was evil and had done all the bad deeds. So, in anger, he ripped the diary apart, tore its pages and buried them. Since then, the bad events stopped completely.
