Sugar was a furry squirrel. She lived in the hole of a pine tree. One night, there was a terrible storm in the woods. Snow fell across the ground. All night long, it snowed huge flakes. Sugar shivered in her hole. In the morning, she could not see any thing. There was so much snow that it had covered up her hole. She came out of the hole. She looked all around her tree. It was lovely. The sun shone down on the snow, making it sparkle and gleam. The pines had snow on their branches. Happy that the storm was over, she ran down the trunk. Sugar went in search of nuts and berries, which would take an extra effort this morning, since it had snowed so much. But she did not mind. The snow just made the woods more beautiful. After all, it was Christmas all the way!
