Once, two rats Micky and Capsy were fast friends and lived in the same hole. But Micky was a spurious and cunning rat. One day Capsy was in a sound sleep and Micky was playing in the hole. While playing Micky felt hungry and decided to go outside the hole to eat something. He was about to come out of his hole, when he saw a cat waiting outside, ready to attack him.
Seeing him Micky thought, ‘If I go out now she will surely eat me.’ He went back inside his hole and woke Capsy up and said, “Friend, why don’t you come out with me to the cornfields? It would be nice to have your company.” Capsy agreed to accompany him. “Yes. I would love to go with you. I’ve heard the field is full of goodies,” he said. Then Micky said, “You are my best friend. You must go first.” So off they went, merrily hopping along. As soon as Capsy jumped out of the hole, the cat grabbed it and made a meal of it. Cunning Micky quickly raced past the cat without being noticed.
