Once, a fox and a stork were great friends. One day, the fox invited the stork to his house for dinner. He had made soup. To play a joke on the stork, the fox served the soup in a flat dish. The fox easily lapped up his soup but the poor stork could not as her beak was long and thin. So, she had to remain hungry. The stork was very angry but did not show it to the fox. But she wanted to teach him a lesson, so she invited him to her home. When the fox arrived, he could smell the food cooking. His mouth watered. But instead of serving food in the plates, the stork served it in vases with long, narrow necks. She easily ate her food but the fox could not. He went back home with an empty stomach and cursed himself for treating the stork badly.
