Once, the Sun fell in love with a princess. To please her, he put a gem in a bag and told a crow to give it to the princess. During those days, crows had white feathers. As the crow was on his way, his nose caught the delicious aroma of food. Upon looking down, the crow saw a feast in progress. The greedy crow hung the bag on a tree and went to eat the food. While the crow was feasting, a thief took out the gem and filled the bag with a cow’s dung. Later, the unsuspecting crow picked up the bag and gave it to the princess. To his surprise, she became very upset as the bag was full of the cow’s dung. The Sun saw the princess holding the bag full of the cow’s dung and was so furious that his scorching gaze fell on the crow and his feathers burned down. His feathers have been black ever since!
Moral: Duty should always come first.
