Tenali Raman was trying to sell his house, but without success. He thought hard and hard. All of a sudden, an idea struck his mind. He pondered, “It is the quality of a super salesman to show some sample to his customers. But I am without any sample. How can I be able to sell off my house?” Days went by. One day, he prised out a brick from the wall of his house. Tenali’s wife was standing near by she could not control herself. She thought, ‘How foolish my husband is! Without any rhyme or reason he has taken out a brick from the wall of the house. He has spoiled the beauty of the house.’
“Why did you do that?” asked his wife, appalled. “O, foolish woman, what do you know?” said Tenali, “To sell anything, you have to show some sample. I propose to show this brick as a sample of our house.”
