Once, a lion had a terrible day. He chased a rabbit but could not catch it and a thorn struck on his foot. The lion cried out in pain. He tried to remove the thorn but was unable to do so. He asked the passing animals to help him. But none helped him as they were scared he would eat them up. Finally, a fox walked by. The lion asked the fox to remove the thorn. The fox replied, “I cannot remove the thorn but I will send my small friend to help you. He will take out the thorn.” The lion was very happy and thought, ‘As soon as he removes my thorn, I will eat him up.’ Soon, a hedgehog approached the lion and removed his thorn. The poor lion could only stare, for he could not eat the thorny hedgehog.
