A turtle and two geese were great friends. One day, one of the geese said to the turtle, “We are going to our homeland tomorrow. Will you come with us?” The turtle said, “I cannot fly like you.” The goose said, “Do not worry. We have a plan.” The geese brought a stick. They held the ends of it. Then they said to the turtle, “Take the middle of the stick in your mouth. Keep holding it and do not open your mouth.” The turtle agreed. Soon, the geese were flying in the air with the turtle. Some children saw them and made fun of the turtle. The turtle could not keep quiet and opened his mouth to reply. As soon as he opened his mouth, he fell down and died. The geese mourned the loss of their friend and exclaimed, “If only he had not opened his mouth!”
