A learned man was reciting a strange story of a school teacher. When the man passed by a school, he saw a very good-looking man teaching in the classroom, whom he wished to test the knowledge of the holy Quran.
He asked him many questions to which the teacher answered brilliantly. Subsequently, he started visiting the teacher on many occasions and was continually impressed by his knowledge.
One fine morning he found the teacher absent in the class because of a death in his family. So, he went to offer condolence and found the teacher sitting silently with sadness on his face. When asked who had passed away, he replied it was his lover whom he had never seen before.
The learned man was intrigued and asked how it was possible that he was mourning for someone he had never seen. The teacher replied, “One day, he heard a man reciting a poem about a beautiful girl and he fell in love with her. When the same man sang another song after a few days indicating that the girl was no more, the teacher began mourning for her.”
