The Vegetable Garden

Adam and Tracy were a poor couple. Once there were heavy rains and their house of straw was destroyed. The couple took their belongings and made way to another town through the forest. It was getting dark and they were very tired. Adam said, “We will spend the night here. Let me collect some firewood.” They both were hungry but had nothing to eat. Tracy remembered that the forest fairies helped anyone who was in need. So, she closed her eyes and prayed to them with all her heart. Suddenly, a bunch of fire flies flew past them asking them to follow. The fire flies took them to a wooden cottage with a fireplace and a vegetable garden. Adam and Tracy were overjoyed. They now had a warm home and enough food to eat every day. Adam became a woodcutter and Tracy took care of the home and they lived happily ever after.
