The Village Fair

Bess and Jane stumbled into the fair. “Look Jane; let’s go into that tent there,” said Bess. The children crawled into the tent, but it was deserted. However, there were rows of costumes on multiple racks. Bess chose the costume of a fairy, while Jane selected the mermaid dress. As soon as the girls changed into the costumes, there was a loud whirr. Out of nowhere, a sparkling wand landed in Bess’s hand and golden wings flapped by her side. She floated through the air and soon came to a blue, pristine lake. On its banks, little mermaids flapped their tails and whirled in the air. There, she found Jane playing in water along with the mermaids. However, after sometime the girls longed to go home. Jane pulled at her mermaid tail and thankfully it came out. Bess then tugged at her wings and soon the girls were back in the little tent at the fair. They were amazed at their experience.
