Once, Oscar, an otter and his family lived under the sea. The father and the mother otter were very anxious as how they could save their children from the coming danger. Then a plan struck their minds. They thought about a warning whistle which could make them aware of dangers. They also searched for a secret place, behind a thick bush of weeds where their children could hide to protect themselves from wild sea animals. One morning, he heard three loud whistles.
Three whistles meant danger, while a single whistle signalled that all was clear. His mother told him that his younger brother, who went for a swim in the sea, was chased by the huntsmen and their dogs. “I will save him,” said Oscar. He dived into the sea. The dogs splashed into the water behind him. He found his brother and dragged him to his ‘secret place’. There, they hid till they heard father otter’s single whistle. The two swam back and the family was reunited.
