Once, a monk and his followers were travelling through a thick forest. The monk warned his followers, “Stay away from poisonous trees and fruits.” The group soon reached a village. A Whatnot tree stood outside the village. It looked exactly like a mango tree. Some of the group members ate the fruits without thinking. The wiser persons among them did not eat any fruits. As soon as the monk reached the tree, he said, “Stop; don’t eat the fruits.” Everyone stopped, but some had eaten the fruits already. The monk made them vomit the poison out and saved them. Soon, the villagers came to the tree. They were surprised to find the group alive. Until then, they had robbed many people once they had died of poisoning. The monk said, “I knew the tree was poisonous because it was easy to climb and yet no one had eaten its fruits.”
