Once, a wicked wizard came to Prince Edward’s kingdom. He said to the people, “I have come to challenge you. If you answer my riddle correctly, you will be spared. If not, I will turn each of you into a stone and take away your most precious thing.” Many people failed to answer the wizard and were turned into stones. He then took their children away as they were the most precious. The citizens of the kingdom complained to Prince Edward. So, he set out to tackle the wizard. “Oh! The Prince himself has come to answer my riddle,” cried the wizard, teasingly. “Now answer this riddle.” But the Prince stopped him. “I wouldn’t look behind if I were you,” Prince Edward said to the wizard. The wizard immediately looked around! At once, the Prince sneaked up and tied him to a rock. The Prince punished the wizard and the people were relieved to have their children back.
