The Wind and the Vegetables

The-Wind-and-the-Vegetables

One day, Mulla Nasruddin sneaked into someone’s garden and began to steal vegetables. As he was putting them in his sack, the owner of the garden saw him. The man was furious and shouted, “Who are you and what are you doing in my garden?” “The wind blew me here, sir!” Mulla confidently responded to him. “What nonsense!” the owner replied. “It’s true,” Mulla said innocently. “Okay; let’s assume that the wind did blow you here. But can you explain how those vegetables were pulled out?” asked the owner. Mulla explained, “That’s very simple, sir! I tried to save myself from being blown away any further by the wind. So, I grabbed onto the vegetables.” “Then tell me how the vegetables in your sack,” the owner asked. “I was just wondering that same thing myself!” said Mulla, leaving the owner shocked.
