Once upon a time, there were nine dogs that went out to hunt. On the way, they met a lion. The lion said, “I am hunting too. Let us hunt together.” So, the lion and the dogs hunted together. They caught ten antelopes. Then, they decided to divide the meat among themselves. One of the dogs said, “This is easy. We are ten, and there are ten antelopes. So, each one of us will have one antelope.” The lion was furious. He hit the poor dog and blinded him. The other dogs were silent. Suddenly, one of the dogs came forward and said, “We must give nine antelopes to the lion. Then, they will be ten in all. And we dogs shall take one antelope and then we will also be ten together.” The lion was happy with his answer and asked “Who taught you to divide like this? You are a wise dog.” The dog answered “O King, you hit my brother and blinded him. That blind brother taught me!”
