Prince Gerald was the only son of old king Hector. So, he was raised with a lot of love. This made him proud and ambitious. He wanted to conquer all the neighbouring kingdoms. Prince Gerald wanted to conquer first the rich country of Perinea. The troops had to cross the vast sea to reach Perinea. Proud Gerald wanted to show off his wealth and chose a big ship with its gleaming sails and set out for Perinea. That night, a huge storm came upon them. Prince Gerald and his men were scared. However, a young soldier said, “Prince, we must face troubles with strength and courage. Only then will we conquer storms. Also, you must decide if a new country is more important than saving our people.” The prince was deeply touched by the soldier’s words. He bravely led his army during the storm and then turned home to rule wisely.
