Once, a farm dog was sleeping in the farmyard when a wolf came there. The wolf pounced on the sleeping dog. Alarmed, the dog cried, “Please spare me! I am very weak and thin. Let me get fat after feeding on the rich food that I get here. Then you can come and eat me.” The wolf agreed. He said, “I will come back later.” The dog sighed in relief on his lucky escape. He decided not to sleep in an unsafe place. After a few days, the wolf came again to the farm. He looked for the dog. But this time, the dog was lying on the roof of the stable. Seeing the dog, the wolf shouted, “Remember what you said and come down and be my meal.” The dog replied, “Who makes arrangement for death? Get lost, Mr. Wolf!” The wolf could only repent for believing the dog.
