A wolf had been eyeing a flock of sheep for a long time. He thought of a plan to seize them all. Every day he would quietly follow the sheep but he never harmed them. In the beginning, the shepherd did not trust the wolf and guarded his flock carefully. But as time passed, he started trusting the wolf. The shepherd thought that the wolf was like a guardian to his sheep.
One day the shepherd had to go to the city for some work. He asked the wolf to take care of his flock while he was away. At last, the wolf got what he had been waiting for! He attacked the sheep and killed most of them. When the shepherd came back, he realised what a big mistake he had made in trusting a wolf to guard his sheep.
