Once, a wolf was very hungry. He killed a rabbit and took him home. After a while, the wolf went outside to get some water. When he came back, the dead rabbit was missing. The wolf searched for the rabbit everywhere. Now, a fox lived near the wolf’s home. The wolf said to the fox angrily, “I know you have stolen the rabbit from my home!” The fox replied, “No, I did not steal it!” Thus, they began quarrelling. The two decided to go to the forest court. An ape, who was the judge, heard everything very carefully. He then said to both of them, “Wolf! I do not think you have lost what you claim to have lost. As for you, Fox! I feel you have stolen what you so strongly deny.” Thus, the two came back disappointed.
