Izora was a foolish lady. Everyone in her neighbourhood had learnt about her foolishness. Yet, they never made fun of her. One day, Izora went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. She said to herself, “I will make omelettes today.” She chopped onions and chillies, and added some salt. But when she looked at the egg basket, she cried, “Oh my! There aren’t any eggs. How will I make omelettes without eggs?” She rushed to the market, wearing one shoe with a thick sole and one shoe with a thin sole. This made her walk awkwardly. So, she thought, ‘It seems my legs are not of the same length today. Why can’t I walk properly?’ Izora’s neighbour saw her. She said, “Both your shoes are different.” Izora was angry at herself for wearing the wrong shoes. She hurried home. She saw the other pair at home and thought, ‘I have bought two pairs of wrong shoes!’
