The Three Towers of San Marino are located on the three peaks on Monte Tintano, in San Marino, Italy. The three towers were built on three peaks between the 11th and the 14th century. While the oldest tower Guaita, was not only the most famous but also served as a prison briefly, the second oldest tower Cesta was built on the highest peak and serves as a museum to honour Saint Marinus. The newest tower Montale was built in the 14th century on the smallest summit of Mount Titano.
