In a small village, high above the sea lived an honest but poor Tinker, the tin worker. He worked hard all day but often went to bed without any supper. A kind and beautiful fairy lived close by on a big oak tree. No one knew her name but everyone knew that she protected their village from all evils. One day, the Tinker fell sick. He could not make or mend any kettles or pots, for he had not eaten for days. He thought he would die of hunger. The kind fairy came to know of his aliment and decided to help him. With her magic, she mended all the pots and the kettles and created some beautiful ones. When people saw the beautiful tin vessels, they bought them quickly. When they asked him how he had made such beautiful vessels, he replied, “With the help of my Tinker-Bell Fairy!”
