Philip’s father was a scientist and spent most of his time inventing new things. He had promised Philip to show him one of his finest inventions once it was finished. One day, after months of hard work, Philip’s father took him to his laboratory. Philip was surprised to see a time machine there. The amazing machine could take anyone into the past and the future. Philip excitedly climbed into the time machine and zoomed into the future with his father. Once, he was there, he could see tall buildings. There were no trees or plants. In fact, everyone was wearing oxygen masks. He asked, “Dad, why are people wearing masks?” “Man has cut down trees and spread pollution, so, there is no oxygen left now,” said Philip’s father. “That’s really bad. We must do something about it, dad!” said Philip. When they returned, Philip started telling his relatives and friends to protect Nature. He encouraged them to plant trees and avoid polluting the environment.
