Tony, the Human Wasp

One day, Nevin was going back home from school without having eaten his lunch. Every day, Peter stole his lunchbox from his bag. Nevin was angry and tried to control his anger. He sat on a bench in the park. He was very intelligent and sensitive. Soon, he forgot everything and was busy enjoying the plants and the flowers. Suddenly, a wasp came near his nose and he got scared. He thought how something so small could frighten him. That was what he needed to do. He noticed the wasp for some time and then understood the trick–it was fear. Everyone was afraid of its sting and left the wasp in peace. At night, Nevin thought what his ‘sting’ could be. He tried to ascertain what would frighten Peter. He thought for the whole night and finally got an idea to teach him a lesson without fighting.

The next day, Nevin went to school. He was confident and ready to face Peter. When Nevin went out of the classroom, Peter stole his lunchbox from his bag. Nevin came back and found his lunchbox missing but that time, he smiled mysteriously because he had put a very spicy sausage in the sandwich. In lunchtime, Peter ate an extremely spicy sandwich and started crying and coughing.
Peter called his friend, Jack. Jack tried to hit Nevin but Nevin was not afraid. He told him the phone numbers of his parents and his teacher and said, “If you hit me, they’ll all find out, and you’ll be punished.” Nevin was so determined and brave that Jack left him. The tactic worked. Just like Nevin had been afraid of their beatings, those boys, too, were afraid of many things. So, in the end, Nevin became like the wasp he had seen. Without having to sting anyone, he frightened them.
