The Tooth Throwing is a custom practised by little children in Japan, Greece and other parts of the world.
Do you know: As a part of the tradition, the Japanese throw the lower tooth of a child on a roof, while they throw the upper tooth in the area below the floor.
The Tooth Throwing custom has variations all over the world. While in France, Spain and even Latin America, a ‘mouse’ comes and takes away the tooth; in Greece, the tooth is thrown over the roof of the house. While the custom may vary a bit from region to region, the underlying belief in all these variations is that the child’s new tooth grows back straight and healthy.
