Old Betty and her friend, Greta, were strolling in the park when they suddenly saw a cat stuck in a log. The poor animal was struggling to get out from a hole. So, Betty gave it her hand to get it out. The cat scratched Betty’s hand in fear. Betty pulled her hand away screaming in pain. However, she did not stop; she tried to give a hand to the cat again and again. Greta, who was watching all of this, screamed at Betty, “Stop helping this cat! It’s going to get itself out of there!” Betty continued saving that animal until she finally succeeded. Then she said, “Greta, it is the cat’s instincts that make it scratch to hurt, and it is my job to love and care.
