Two Friends and the Bear

Two friends–a Carpenter and a Tailor, decided to set out on a journey and to explore a new land.
On the first day of their journey, they met a woman who requested the Tailor to stitch a dress for her. “I will give you 12 pots of honey,” said the woman. The tailor agreed with her but asked her to give the pots immediately though he would stitch her dress only on his way back home. The woman agreed.
The next day, they reached a village where everyone seemed panicked. They went to the head of the village, an old man and asked him if they could help the villagers. The old man said, “There is a bear in the forest near by and he has been attacking the village and taking away our people. Can you please kill the bear? I will give you 12 coins of gold.”
The Carpenter said, “Ok. We will help you. Please give us the coins of gold and we will get you the skin of the bear by tomorrow.” Listening to this, the old man happily gave the coins to the Carpenter.
The same night, the Carpenter and the Tailor went into the forest. As they were walking through the dark forest, suddenly the bear came. The Tailor quickly climbed up the tree. The bear caught hold of the Carpenter.

Immediately, the Tailor threw the pots of honey from the tree. The bear left the Carpenter, took the honey and left.
The Carpenter told the Tailor, “The bear whispered in my ears that we should only sell the bear after catching him.” The Tailor understood that he should have also taken the pots of honey only after stitching the dress.
