The first typewriter came into existence in the 1860. It was widely accepted as one of the most useful device to type words on paper. It was transformed from a mechanical device to electromechanical device that were used in many departments a few years back. Though, it has its limited existence now. After the invention of computer around 1980, it started losing its existence.
It is believed that around 52 times, typewriters were invented over the years to get its best practical design. Inventors such as Henry Mill in 1714, Pellegrino Turri in 1808 and William Austin Burt in 1829, introduced different models and functions of typewriters. William Burt’s typewriter is counted among the first workable typewriters. Charles Thurber was also among those inventors who had multiple patents. He also developed the first typewriter for blinds in 1843. And he really deserves huge appreciation for such a great invention.
