The Valley of Ten Peaks is a scenic valley that includes Moraine Lake surrounded by 10 peaks and is located at Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. The valley was originally the homeland of the Stoney Indian Tribe. Samuel Allen, the explorer who discoverd the valley, initally referred to the peaks using numbers from one to ten in the Stoney First Nations Language, learnt from his Native American guides. Eventually, seven of these peaks were named in honour of noteworthy individuals including Allen.
