The Victoria Memorial was built in Kolkata, India, between 1906 and 1921. The Victoria Memorial is built entirely of white marble in dedication of Queen Victoria. 103 metres in height, the monument is a blend of Mughal and European styles of architecture. With its dome, four subsidiaries, portals, terrace and octagonal domed chattris, the monument does resonate the architectural styles of the Taj Mahal.
