Last year my papa and mummy decided to go to a quiet hill station. We did not want to go to crowded hill stations like Shimla.
My papa decided upon Kasauli, a small hill resort near Chandigarh. We four—papa, mummy, sister Kinny and I boarded a bus from Chandigarh bound for Kasauli. In flat 2½ hours we found ourselves at Kasauli.
From the bus stand we hired a porter to take our luggage to the Tourist Lodge of the tourism department we were booked in. The lodge was a nice place set amidst very tall pine trees. We saw the town. Upper bazaar and lower bazaar were interesting. A fine walk way went up to a garden, then it led straight and finally there was a descent that met the upper bazaar road. Our tourist lodge was just below the road. It had fine room service.
Just down there was the famous Sanawar Public School. We liked our three days stay at Kasauli.
