Materials Required:
- Newspapers
- Tub
- Water
- Enamel paint in several colours
- Glass
Procedure:
- Spread some newspapers on the table you are working.
- Fill up the tub about ¾ with water and then dribble differently coloured enamel paints into the tub. You do not have to measure the paints exactly.
- Hold a glass by the rim and dip it into the water. Remove the glass and set it upside down to dry. You will see beautiful swirls of colour that look like marble designs.
This is what happens:
Enamel paints are made with oil; this causes them to float on top of the water. When you dip the glass into the water, the paint sticks to the glass and runs together to form interesting patterns. You might use this new glass to store rubber bands, seeds, paper clips, coins or crayons.
