What Caused the Tower of Pisa to Lean?

The Leaning tower of Pisa is one of the most famous historical icons of the world. It is located in Pisa, Italy. This tower is not straight. It leans over by 5 metres. Even though, nobody really knows why the tower of Pisa leans; a possible explanation is that the foundation of this tower was laid on sand. It didn’t lean suddenly, but started leaning when three storeys or three of the galleries had been constructed. It has tilted 0.3 metre in the last 100 years. Some engineers believe that it will just topple over one day. Galileo, a famous Italian astronomer, had performed experiments related to the speed of falling objects on this tower.
