The presence of water vapour in the air is called humidity. Too much or too little humidity can be dangerous. Humidity is found in all places, but it varies. For example, when a can of ice-cold water is put on the table and allowed to stand for some time, moisture appears on the outside. Moisture is always present in the air in the form of water vapours. When the vapour which is invisible in the air, comes in contact with a cold can, it condenses and becomes visible. Deserts have low humidity while places that get heavy rainfall have high humidity.
