Leather is a material made from an animal hide or animal skin after being tanned or treated with chemicals to preserve them and make them suitable for use as clothing, footwear, handbags, furniture, tools, etc. The skins of cows, horses, and goats are often used to make leather. Most leather is made from cattle skin, but other animal hides and skins are also used. Suede leather is made from young or old goatskin. Leather is a flexible and durable material, which can be used to make several accessories. Shoes, handbags, luggage and wallets are made from alligators’ hides or even the skin of lizards and snakes.
