It was a beautiful day. Tess and her friend, Sam, were enjoying the day and talking about Mr. Wolf. Tess said to her friend, “Mr. Wolf is gifted. He always knows the time. He does not need a watch for that.” Soon, they saw Mr. Wolf coming along. Sam quickly called out to him, “Excuse me, Mr. Wolf! Good day to you! What is the time?” Mr. Wolf stopped and looked at Tess and Sam. Then he greeted them politely and said, “Well, the time is exactly twelve.” Then he bowed his head and went on his way. Sam quickly took out his watch and looked at the time. He exclaimed, “It really is twelve!” But somewhere Mr. Wolf was laughing loudly as he adjusted his hat with a pocket‑watch hidden inside it!
