Wine is an alcoholic drink made from the fermented juice of grapes or other fruit like blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. The natural and appropriate quantities of sugar present in grapes make them the most suitable product for wine making. Grapes also have natural wine yeast on their skin that converts sugar into alcohol and carbon dioxide.
Wines are of two types: white wine and red wine. White wines are made by fermenting the juice of grapes without their skin. Red wines are made by fermenting juice with the red grape skin. Sweet wine is made by stopping the fermentation before all the sugar turns into alcohol.
