One day, Mulla Nasruddin was chatting with some people. One of them was a philosopher. He said, “I have been researching for years, trying to determine when the end of the world will be. Yet I have still not found the answer. Mulla, do you know when the end of the world will be?” “Yes, I have known that for a long time,” answered Mulla, “When I die, that will be the end of the world.” “Are you certain it will?” asked the philosopher. “It will be for me,” said Mulla. “No seriously, Mulla, when do you think the end of the world will come?” asked a man. “Which end of the world do you mean?” asked Mulla. “How many ends of the world are there?” asked the man, curiously. “Two!” said Mulla, “When my wife dies, that will be the first. When I die, that will be the second.”
