Chocolate is made from cocoa beans. The cocoa beans come from a tree known as the Theobroma Cacao. It is found in tropical areas such as Africa and South America. Every year, a single tree produces around a thousand fruits, known as Pods. The pods grow out of the trunk of the tree. Inside the pod, there is a white pulp surrounding cocoa beans. The pulp can be eaten and used for making drinks. The seeds are bitter and are used for making the chocolate we eat.
