There are both chunky and smooth kinds of peanut butter available in the market. However, the creamy textured one is largely preferred over the chunky type. The peanut butter is made of peanut oil and very finely ground peanuts. Since the ground peanuts are so fine, our tongue is unable to feel their individual textures and tastes mostly the oil that surrounds the ground peanut and peanut flour. The flour absorbs the peanut oil and the mixture of all these is a thick paste rather than a flowy creamy liquid.
Why is peanut butter creamy?
